COUPLES THERAPY

  • Do we need therapy?

Whether you are experiencing issues in a relationship, just need some help to communicate better, or are seriously considering separation, my experience as a couples therapist and family mediator can help. It is a wonderful way of dealing fully with issues and problems before they spiral.

  • What is couples therapy?

I provide a space where both clients feelings are both heard and validated. This is a key part of my couples therapy. More than that, I offer valuable insight into what is really being said by both parties. Together, we can unpick the real emotions behind your behaviours and motivators, and create a truer understanding between partners.

  • What do you do?

I encourage listening, I challenge unhelpful patterns, I make both clients accountable, I dismantle negative communication patterns and rebalance perspectives. I also offer tools and practical advice, so that clients leave with the ability to create profound shifts in their relationships.

  • WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?

I am always neutral, and remain on the ‘side’ of the relationship as opposed to either party. However, unlike many relationship therapists, I call out abusive behaviour and any signs of manipulation or gaslighting and address it head on.
